The Power of a Praying Family

The Power of a Praying Family

Bible Verse: “The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective.” – James 5:16b

Exhortation (What, Why, How):

What:
A praying family is a strong family. Prayer unites hearts, strengthens love, and invites God’s presence into the home.

Why:
The family is the first institution God established. It is constantly under attack from the enemy. Prayer shields the family, breaks generational curses, and secures blessings for present and future generations.

How:

  • Set aside time for family prayer daily.
  • Involve every member—spouse and children.
  • Use God’s Word as a foundation for your prayers.
  • Turn family challenges into prayer points, not quarrels.

God’s Expectation:

God desires families to be altars of prayer where His presence dwells continually, producing unity, peace, and spiritual growth.

Prayer Points:

  1. Lord, make my family an altar of prayer.
  2. Father, let Your presence never depart from my home.
  3. Every attack against my family, scatter by fire in Jesus’ name.
  4. Lord, unite us in love and faith through prayer.
  5. Father, raise my children to love and practice prayer.
  6. Every generational curse upon my family, break now in Jesus’ name.
  7. Lord, let the atmosphere of my home be filled with peace and Your glory.
  8. Father, let our family prayer bring generational blessings.
Lord, make us a light to other families through the power of prayer.
