 The war against Sexual Assault – Rape

Bible Reading: 2 Samuel 13:1-17

“1 And it came to pass after this, that Absalom the son of David had a fair sister, whose name was Tamar; and Amnon the son of David loved her.

2 And Amnon was so vexed, that he fell sick for his sister Tamar; for she was a virgin, and Amnon thought it hard for him to do anything to her.

3 But Amnon had a friend, whose name was Jonadab, the son of Shimeah David's brother: and Jonadab was a very subtil man.

4 And he said unto him, Why art thou, being the king's son, lean from day today? wilt thou does not tell me? And Amnon said unto him, I love Tamar, my brother Absalom's sister.

5 And Jonadab said unto him, Lay thee down on thy bed, and make thyself sick: and when thy father cometh to see thee, say unto him, I pray thee, let my sister Tamar come, and give me meat, and dress the meat in my sight, that I may see it, and eat it at her hand.

6 So Amnon lay down, and made himself sick: and when the king was come to see him, Amnon said unto the king, I pray thee, let Tamar my sister come, and make me a couple of cakes in my sight, that I may eat at her hand.

7 Then David sent home to Tamar, saying, Go now to thy brother Amnon's house, and dress him meat.

8 So Tamar went to her brother Amnon's house, and he was laid down. And she took flour, and kneaded it, and made cakes in his sight, and did bake the cakes.

9 And she took a pan and poured them out before him, but he refused to eat. And Amnon said, Have out all men from me. And they went out every man from him.

10 And Amnon said unto Tamar, Bring the meat into the chamber, that I may eat of thine hand. And Tamar took the cakes which she had made and brought them into the chamber to Amnon her brother.

11 And when she had brought them unto him to eat, he took hold of her, and said unto her, Come lie with me, my sister.

12 And she answered him, Nay, my brother, do not force me; for no such thing ought to be done in Israel: do not thou this folly.

13 And I, whither shall I cause my shame to go? and as for thee, thou shalt be as one of the fools in Israel. Now, therefore, I pray thee, speak unto the king; for he will not withhold me from thee.

14 Howbeit he would not hearken unto her voice: but, being stronger than she, forced her, and lay with her.

15 Then Amnon hated her exceedingly; so that the hatred wherewith he hated her was greater than the love wherewith he had loved her. And Amnon said unto her, Arise, be gone.

16 And she said unto him, There is no cause: this evil in sending me away is greater than the other that thou didst unto me. But he would not hearken unto her.

17 Then he called the servant that ministered unto him, and said, Put now this woman out from me, and bolt the door after her.”

Generally, rape is now a common act among the youth, brother to sister, father to daughter, in-law to mother-in-law, a boss to the servant, etc. it’s a serious act that condemns by God. Deuteronomy 22:25. Many lives had been destroyed while many youths have lost their destiny as a result of this terrible rape act.

Biblically, the law concerning rape is found in Deuteronomy 22:25-26, which describes a situation when a man “finds a betrothed young woman in the countryside, and the man forces her and lies with her.” The word “force” simply means “rape” or sexual assault. And such a man found guilty of rape would be put to death. Anyone involved in such a dreadful act is equivalent to the assassination.

Sexual assault is condemned by many nations, and the Holy Bible condemned it. It is an abomination before God. But therapists do not see such acts as an evil that can lead to destruction. Many that involve in sexual assault are ignorant and, in many cases, they were motivated by friends as happened to Amnon. That’s why you must be very careful with the friends you keep.

In Genesis 34:1-31, it’s recorded about how Dinah the daughter of Leah was raped by the Shechem raped her. This happened because Dinah goes out to befriend unbelievers. 

“And Dinah the daughter of Leah, which she bare unto Jacob, went out to see the daughters of the land. And when Shechem the son of Hamor the Hivite, prince of the country, saw her, he took her, and lay with her, and defiled her.” Genesis 34:1-2 KJV

Having the spirit of sexual immorality is a spirit of evil that one has to deal with. If you are a man or woman that always has a lust for sex with anyone, you need deliverance. Sexual assault has dominated everywhere include government agencies, churches as well as families, and schools.

From beginning to end, the Bible condemns sexual harassment, assault, and rape and includes them in a list of “works of the flesh” (Galatians 5:19-21), and also commanded us to flee from sexual assault and any kind of immorality.

“Flee from sexual immorality. Every other sin a person commits is outside the body, but the sexually immoral person sins against his own body.” “1 Corinthians 6:18 ESV

If you have been involved in such an act before either to your brother, sister, neighbor, or your in-law or your sibling, or pastor to the member, you must come back to Jesus Christ, confess your sin unto Him and ask for mercy. Luke 13:3-5

However, if you have been raped in one way or the other, God promises to administer justice to all who have been mistreated or abused (Exodus 22:22-24) and ultimately offers them everlasting comfort and complete emotional healing that no human court can provide (Revelation 21:4). Don’t condemn yourself, reconnect with your Creator, and allow Jesus Christ to take control and guide your life. Matthew 11:28. God promises a future free from sexual assault, rape and harassment, when “no one shall make them afraid” Micah 4:4.

The war against Sexual Assault – Rape Prayer

Father, forgive me and have mercy unto me, I am a sinner and involved in sexual assault.

Father, wash away my sin with the precious blood of Jesus.

Father, by the blood of Jesus, I break every covenant of sexual assault dominating my life, in the name of Jesus.

Father, delivered me from the spirit of sexual assault, in the name of Jesus.

Every seed of sexual assault deposited in my life, be uprooted by the blood of Jesus.

Father, delivered me from the spirit of evil assault, in the name of Jesus.

By fire by thunder, I scattered every gang up of enemies against my spiritual growth in the word of God, in the name of Jesus.

Father, give me wisdom and knowledge to overcome every situation that can molest me, in the name of Jesus.

Father, every trap of sexual assault set before me, shall be scattered by thunder, in the name of Jesus.

Father, every satanic agent assigned to trigger me of sexual assault, be arrested and disgrace by the thunder of God, in the name of Jesus.

Every door of calamity open against my success, be close by the thunder of God, in the name of Jesus.

Every door of sexual assault opens against my children by closed by the thunder of God, in the name of Jesus.

I possess the mighty power of God that overcomes every evil situation, in the name of Jesus.

Father, baptize me with the Holy Ghost fire, in the name of Jesus.

By the blood of Jesus Christ, I break every protocol of sexual immorality ruling my life, in the name of Jesus.

I pull down every sexual assault stronghold in my marriage, in the name of Jesus.
