Bible Reading: Joshua 5:9-10

“9 And the LORD said unto Joshua, This day have I rolled away the reproach of Egypt from off you. Wherefore the name of the place is called Gilgal unto this day.

10 And the children of Israel encamped in Gilgal, and kept the passover on the fourteenth day of the month at even in the plains of Jericho.” Joshua 5:9-10

Without mincing words, let me tell you that reproach is a tag of identification that is used to refer someone wrongly. Reproach is laughable and does not represent the true nature of what God has done or is doing in our lives.

§  Reproach is something in your life that make people mock you.

§  Things that relegate you.

§  Things that making you ashamed.

§  The thing that makes people embarrass you.

§  The thing that makes you be a dishonour.

§  The thing that does not allow you to have joy unlimited.

§  Things that happen to you that make people ask “why is your God?”

§  Things that make you be in bondage or captivity. They are all reproaches.

Causes of Reproach

In Proverbs 14:34, the scriptures affirmed that “Righteousness exalts a nation, but sin is a reproach to any people.”

§  There are many things that cause reproach, among are the lifestyles like fornication, adultery, idolatry, corruption, fraud, 419, party spirits, drunkenness, thievery, and other kinds of immorality, are causes of reproach.

§  Famine can cause reproach. Ezekiel 36:30.

§  Reproach comes from the enemy and the people around you. Psalm 55:12, Psalm 74:10.

§  You can experience reproach from the wicked. Proverb 18:3.

§  In addition, God can allow reproach as divine judgment. Jeremiah 23:4, Jeremiah 29:18, Jeremiah 44:8.

The victory for us is that God is a breaker, a remover and a destroyer of reproaches. He is happy causing liberation and removing this reproach.

God told Joshua, “This day have I rolled away the reproach of Egypt from off you.” Joshua 5:9

Also, God took away Rachael reproach. “And she conceived, and bare a son; and said, God, hath taken away my reproach:” Genesis 30:23

How to overcome reproach?

§  Repent all your sins and forsake them. Luke 13:3-5

§  Believe in God and His mighty – Handover everything to God. Let Him step into your situation.

§  Fervent prayer – “Hear, O our God; for we are despised: and turn their reproach upon their own head, and give them for a prey in the land of captivity:” Nehemiah 4:4

“Deliver me from all my transgressions: make me not the reproach of the foolish.” Psalms 39:8

God wipes away Hannah’s reproach after she prayed unto God, and she became the mother of the prophet Samuel.

Prayer Bombs Against Reproach

1.           Father, I confess all my sin unto you, forgive me and wash me clean with the precious Blood of Jesus.

2.           By the power in the Blood of Jesus, I break every yoke of reproach in my life, in the name of Jesus.

3.           Father, delivered me from any satanic linkage and any reproach, in the name of Jesus. 

4.           By the power in the Blood of Jesus, I break the chain of sin in my life, in the name of Jesus.

5.           By fire by force, I waste every evil strongman in charge of my case in the name of Jesus.

6.           By the Mighty hand of God, I remove the right of the enemy to afflict my plan to get married, in the name of Jesus.

7.           By the power in the Blood of Jesus, I break the reproach of a setback in my business, in the name of Jesus.

8.           Let the angels of the living God roll away the reproach of my marriage, in the name of Jesus.

9.           By the power in the Blood of Jesus, I break reproach of failure in my life, in the name of Jesus.

10.      My Father and my Lord, turn the reproach of those that despise me upon their own heads in the name of Jesus.

11.      I bind and plunder the goods of every strongman attached to my marriage, in the name of Jesus.

12.      By the power in the Blood of Jesus, I cast out the spirit of reproach in my life, in the name of Jesus.

13.      I break every bondage of inherited reproach, in the name of Jesus.

14.      By the power in the Blood of Jesus, I terminate the reproach of bareness in my marriage, in the name of Jesus.

15.      By the power in the Blood of Jesus, all the enemies operating against my life be exposed by fire, in the name of Jesus.

16.      By the power in the Blood of Jesus, I terminate the reproach of poverty in my life, in the name of Jesus.

17.      By the power in the Blood of Jesus, the reproach in my marriage expired by force, in the name of Jesus.

18.      I apply the blood of Jesus to remove all consequences of evil operations and reproach in my marriage, in the name of Jesus.

19.      My Father and my God, expose and disgrace every witchcraft agent assigned to embarrass me in the name of Jesus.

20.      Evil invaders assigned to infiltrate my business with reproach, be arrested now, in the name of Jesus.

21.      I break the binding effect of any reproach put upon me from any source, in the name of Jesus.

22.      Every arrow of reproach in my life, backfire in the name of Jesus.

23.      By the power in the Blood of Jesus, all the assignments of evil invaders against me and my marriage, die, in Jesus name.

24.      Every reproach that label with my breakthrough, die, in the name of Jesus.

25.      Every owner of an evil load of shame and reproach, I summon you here now, appear to carry your load by fire by force, in the name of Jesus.

26.      My Father and my God, arise, and frustrate every power invading reproach into my spiritual life, in the name of Jesus.
