Bible Reading; Genesis 40:11-13

“9 And the chief butler told his dream to Joseph, and said to him, In my dream, behold, a vine was before me;

10 And in the vine were three branches: and it was as though it budded, and her blossoms shot forth, and the clusters thereof brought forth ripe grapes:

11 And Pharaoh’s cup was in my hand: and I took the grapes, and pressed them into Pharaoh’s cup, and I gave the cup into Pharaoh’s hand.

12 And Joseph said unto him, This is the interpretation of it: The three branches are three days:

13 Yet within three days shall Pharaoh lift up thine head, and restore thee unto thy place: and thou shalt deliver Pharaoh’s cup into his hand, after the former manner when thou wast his butler.”

Lost a job or sacked from the workplace is one of the calamities that can happen to anyone at any time. Lost a job is a general news on daily basis around the globe, and it is very terrible for someone to lost his or her job because it will not only affect the person but also affect many people that benefit from such a job.

In our Bible reading, there are two men sacked on the same day from work and kept in prison. But one of them was restored to his work after some time.

“And it came to pass the third day, which was Pharaoh’s birthday, that he made a feast unto all his servants: and he lifted up the head of the chief butler and of the chief baker among his servants.

And he restored the chief butler unto his butlership again; and he gave the cup into Pharaoh’s hand:” Genesis 40:20-21

Many lost their job or business because of their sin such as unfaithful to tithe, ignorant to the principle of business, laziness, and procrastination, stinginess, no regard for the boss and other workers, no respect for customers or clients, useless spending, etc.

If you are in a position of lost your job or been sacked or something happens to the existence of your business, don’t panic anymore, God will restore it back to you within few days. Just believe!

 “And I will strengthen the house of Judah, and I will save the house of Joseph, and I will bring them back because I have compassion on them, and they shall be as though I had not cast them off: for I am the LORD their God, and will hear them.” Zechariah 10:6 

Beloved, God is very much interested in restoring you back to your workplace which you have lost. He is always ready to restore everything you have lost, it doesn’t matter how long you have lost it or the reasons why you lost the job or the spiritual height from which you have fallen, you only need to cry unto Him for mercy.

In Joel 2:25, God has promised to restore unto us our lost and wasted years which includes the waste years of job, business, marriage, finances, health, etc.

“And I will restore to you the years that the locust hath eaten, the cankerworm, and the caterpillar, and the palmerworm, my great army which I sent among you. And ye shall eat in plenty, and be satisfied, and praise the name of the LORD your God that hath dealt wondrously with you: and my people shall never be ashamed.” Joel 2:25-26
