Why is the second coming of Jesus is important?

How can I prepare for Jesus Second Coming?

“1 Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me.

2 In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.

3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.

4 And whither I go ye know, and the way ye know.” John 14:1-4

More than enough time has been given to me and you to get set for the second coming of Jesus Christ. For every human person has an appointment with the King-Jesus Christ when he comes but catching up with the appointment requires adequate preparation. Remember Jesus foretold that, He has gone to prepare a better place for me and you in his father’s house and when he is through with the preparation then He will come back to carry me and you home. What a loving and caring Savior we have!

Understandably, I and you also have to prepare to meet up when Jesus comes. Christ himself placed value on preparation for He knew that He can’t just come and carry God’s children home when sufficient preparation is not in place, beloved! Are you preparing for the coming of Jesus Christ or you are still in the community of doubt and procrastination? Whether you prepare or not Christ is coming back.

In the days of Old when God observed the wickedness of man and wanted to destroy the wicked generation God told NOAH to prepare an ARK as captioned below;

 “And God said unto Noah, The end of all flesh has come before me; for the earth is filled with violence through them; and, behold, I will destroy them with the earth.

 Make thee an ark of gopher wood; rooms shalt thou make in the ark, and shalt pitch it within and without with pitch.

 And this is the fashion which thou shalt make it of: The length of the ark shall be three hundred cubits, the breadth of it fifty cubits, and the height of it thirty cubits.

 A window shalt thou make to the ark, and in a cubit shalt thou finish it above; and the door of the ark shalt thou set in the side thereof; with lower, second, and third stories shalt thou make it.

 And, behold, I, even I, do bring a flood of waters upon the earth, to destroy all flesh, wherein is the breath of life, from under heaven; and everything that is in the earth shall die.

 But with thee will I establish my covenant; and thou shalt come into the ark, thou, and thy sons, and thy wife, and thy sons' wives with thee.

 And of every living thing of all flesh, two of every sort shalt thou bring into the ark, to keep them alive with thee; they shall be male and female.

 Of fowls after their kind, and cattle after their kind, of every creeping thing of the earth after his kind, two of every sort shall come unto thee, to keep them alive.

 And take thou unto thee of all food that is eaten, and thou shalt gather it to thee, and it shall be for food for thee, and for them.

 Thus did Noah; according to all that God commanded him, so did he” Genesis 6:13-22

God told NOAH to prepare an ARK and make rooms therein that will accommodate his family cum his domestic animals and NOAH did accordingly as directed by God. And in chapter seven of the same Genesis God told NOAH to go inside the ARK with his family and his domestic animals;

Let understand something here, it was one thing for NOAH to prepare the ARK and it was another thing for him to obey God again by taking all his belongings into the ARK, thereafter came the flood “And the flood was forty days upon the earth, and the waters increased, and bare up the ark, and it was lifted up above the earth” Genesis 7:17

Now the underlining point from the above illustration is that NOAH prepared the ARK the way and manner God commanded and he never missed out when God began to destroy the whole earth. All that matters to NOAH he took them along with him into the ARK and he never missed anything because it is not written anywhere in the bible that NOAH forgets to carry so and so into the ARK. Adequate preparation pave way for success or mission accomplishment.

Jesus Christ told us plainly; that we should prepare for his second coming, that his physical absence on earth is a show that He has gone to prepare an awesome place for you and me. Additionally, he said if He is (was) not coming again He would have told me and you. Remember this same time of preparation was giving to NOAH as well, thank God Noah used his time and prepared the ARK and he was saved. Beloved! Would you allow this precious time given for heavenly preparation to lost? I pray that should not be our portion in Jesus name

The underlining questions;

§  Are you preparing for the second coming of Jesus Christ?

§  Or did you think Jesus will not come again?

§  Or do you think you have enough time to prepare, maybe next month or next year?

§  Or do you have anyone preparing on your behalf?

Beloved, salvation is a personal responsibility, no one can fight for your salvation. It is your task. You pastor cannot work your salvation, he can only show you the way leading to salvation. We cannot deny the fact that no one knows the real-time the KING is coming but interestingly we all know that Jesus Christ is coming back, so soon. For eternity is so near.

Note Noah never missed out his timely appointment with God and I pray you should never miss yours as well in Jesus name.

Now that me and you know salvation is a personal task it is advisable for parents, guardians to point their children to the way of the cross for the bible said;

“Whosoever shall seek to save his life shall lose it, and whosoever shall lose his life shall preserve it.

I tell you, in that night there shall be two men in one bed; the one shall be taken, and the other shall be left.

Two women shall be grinding together; the one shall be taken, and the other left.

Two men shall be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left.

And they answered and said unto him, Where, Lord? And he said unto them, Wheresoever the body is, thither will the eagles be gathered together” Luke 17:33-37.

It is clearly spelt in the above scripture that salvation requires preparation and this type of preparation require everyone to engage it personally. Note evangelizing, praying and studying the word of God together is not a bad thing, for the bible talked about brethren praying together in one accord.

SCRIPTURAL STRATEGIES TO PREPARE FOR THE COMING OF JESUS CHRIST

Successful people said; “when preparation meets opportunity it results into success” likewise in the kingdom of God when preparation meets the coming of the KING it automatically results into heaven at last.

Be born. No student gets into university without passing through JAMB and other related examinations, and no mankind can smell the kingdom of God without been born again. If Jesus could recommend born again to Nicodemus then there is more to think of about the concept “born again”. Born again is the stage where one renounces totally the worldly things, confess and profess Jesus Christ as his personal Lord and Savior and at the same time seek for divine mercy for the forgiveness of his sins, this also goes a long way with total cleansing with the blood of Jesus from all iniquities.

“There was a man of the Pharisees, named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews: The same came to Jesus by night, and said unto him, Rabbi, we know that thou art a teacher come from God: for no man can do these miracles that thou doest, except God be with him. Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God” John 3:1-3.

Holiness. Holiness means righteous living and without holiness, no one can see the kingdom of God. “Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord” Hebrew 12:14.

Soul-winning. God does not want any soul to perish no matter and because of that, he has charged us to preach and teach the gospel to others so that they can be saved and inherit his kingdom.

“Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen” Mathew 28:19-20

Sincerely prepare your Ark. God told Noah to prepare an Ark that could harbour him and his family besides his domestic animals and Noah did in accordance and was saved with his family. No doubt! If Noah neglected the commandment God gave him to prepare the ARK probably NOAH would have been destroyed couple with his lineage. Now the coming of Jesus is so near and that preparation is the only yardstick for hell exemption if you don’t want to miss out then kindly prepare as NOAH did.

Purity.  The Bible foretold that without purity no one can see God, so for you to make heaven your heart must be pure before the Lord. “Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God” Mathew 5:8

Meekness. Jesus recommended humility to the extent that God the father said, he hates those who are so proud and love those who are lowly in their dealings. The kingdom of God is not for proud people but for those who sold out their legal rights, titles, position and becomes like little children without any mark of evil. “Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth” Mathew 5:6;

“And said, Verily I say unto you, Except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven” Mathew 18:3

PRAYER BOMBS TO MAKE HEAVEN

1.           Father thank you for counting me to be among the living soul in Jesus name

2.           Father use the blood of Jesus and purge me so I can be whiter than snow in your presence in the name of Jesus

3.           Father give me abundantly grace to serve you earnestly and tirelessly in the name of Jesus

4.           Father whatever that will make me leave this world without making heaven cut it away from me in the name of Jesus

5.           Father purify my heart so I can see you at the end of my journey on this earth in Jesus

6.           Father empower me spiritually so I can serve you and win souls into your kingdom in Jesus name

7.           Father lead me to the way of the cross in name of Jesus

8.           Father cast me not away from your presence in Jesus name

9.           Father take not restore the holy ghost power in me in Jesus name

10.      Father disassociate me from people that will ruin my Christian life in the name of Jesus

11.      Father give me the grace never to give up in serving you in the name of Jesus

12.      Father uphold my life with your true spirit in Jesus name

13.      Father destroy every bondage of sin over my life in the name of Jesus

14.      Father whatever that will defile my services in your kingdom take it away from me in the name of Jesus

15.      Father give me the wisdom to live a righteous life in the name of Jesus

16.      Father fill my thought with godly thought in the name of Jesus

17.      Father kills every fleshly desire in me and empowers me to serve you in the spirit in Jesus name

18.      Father empower me to have dominion over my flesh in the name of Jesus

19.      Father increase my faith and the hunger to serve you in sincerity in Jesus name

20.      Father thank you for the salvation, my soul, in Jesus name.
