Bible Reading: Acts 9:1-12

“1 And Saul, yet breathing out threatening and slaughter against the disciples of the Lord, went unto the high priest,

2 And desired of him letters to Damascus to the synagogues, that if he found any of this way, whether they were men or women, he might bring them bound unto Jerusalem.

3 And as he journeyed, he came near Damascus: and suddenly there shined round about him a light from heaven:

4 And he fell to the earth, and heard a voice saying unto him, Saul, Saul, why persecutest thou me?

5 And he said, Who art thou, Lord? And the Lord said, I am Jesus whom thou persecutest: it is hard for thee to kick against the pricks.

6 And he trembling and astonished said, Lord, what wilt thou have me to do? And the Lord said unto him, Arise, and go into the city, and it shall be told thee what thou must do.

7 And the men which journeyed with him stood speechless, hearing a voice, but seeing no man.

8 And Saul arose from the earth; and when his eyes were opened, he saw no man: but they led him by the hand, and brought him into Damascus.

9 And he was three days without sight, and neither did eat nor drink.

10 And there was a certain disciple at Damascus, named Ananias; and to him said the Lord in a vision, Ananias. And he said, Behold, I am here, Lord.

11 And the Lord said unto him, Arise, and go into the street which is called Straight, and inquire in the house of Judas for one called Saul, of Tarsus: for, behold, he prayed,

12 And hath seen in a vision a man named Ananias coming in, and putting his hand on him, that he might receive his sight.” Acts 9:1-12

The major challenge that hinders many people from enjoying the good things that God purpose for them is because they still follow their old way of lives. The way they behave and reacts in previous years before they know Christ does not change, rather they continue swimming in the sinful desire that has no good profits.

For a new beginning to commence, there must be a disconnection from the old path.

What is the old path?

§  Old path is an old way that is contrary to the way of God. It is the way that is full of sinful desires. It is a way that many people had been killed. It is a way that seems right before man but the end is destruction – Proverbs 14:12.

§  It is a way that swallowed many glories. It is a path that led to eternal doom of hellfire. It is a way that gives room for Satan to torment the children of God. It is a backward way. Anyone that forget God is walking in the old way. Job 8:13

§  It is a way that is full of sickness, sadness, failure, afflictions, death, unfruitful, etc. Those that follow the old path are enemies of God. The old way is the way that Adam and Eve choose to follow and obey in the Garden of Eden – Genesis 3:1-7. 

§  The old way was originated by Adam and transferred to humanity – 1 Corinthians 15:22; Romans 5:14. No one who follows the old way enjoys the joy of God. The old way is the way that has been terminated by the Blood of Jesus Christ on the Cross at Calvary. John 19:30.

§  The beloved, old way is the way of death!

How to be disconnected from the old way of living?

§  Don’t cover your transgressions as Adam did – Job 31:33.

§  Confess your sins and forsake them – Luke 13:3, 5.

§  Determine and force yourself to be separated from the old way of living.

§  Flee from any immorality – 1 Cor.6:18,

§  Flee from idolatry – 1 Cor.10:14

§  Flee from evil things – 1 Timothy 6:11

§  Flee youthful lusts – 2 Timothy 2:22

§  Wash with and in the Blood of Jesus

§  Abide in Jesus Christ – 1 John 2:24-28, John 15:4-10

§  Make a U-turn and start to walk in the new path – 1 John 2:6

§  Be addicted to daily meditations and study the word of God – Joshua 1:8, Psalm 119:97-99, 130; 78:1, Proverbs 4:4

Deliverance Prayer Bombs from the bondage of the old way

1.           By the blood of Jesus, I am disconnected from the old way of living in the name of Jesus

2.           Father, wash me clean through the blood of Jesus Christ

3.           Every chain and shackle binding me with sin, break by the power in the blood of Jesus.

4.           I am disconnected from the satanic agenda in the name of Jesus.

5.           Father, separate me from the hands of evil that have to hold me captive in the name of Jesus

6.           By the power in the Blood of Jesus, I destroyed every inheritance of failure that I inherited from my parents, in the name of Jesus.

7.           Every ancestral root of failure in my family line, be uprooted by fire, in the name of Jesus.

8.           Let the fire of God melt away the stones hindering my success and promotion, in the mighty name of Jesus.

9.           Every hand of the strongman of bad luck and failure assigned to hold me captive, be scattered and die by fire, in the name of Jesus.

10.      Every root of bad luck and failure in my life, dry up by the fire of God, in the name of Jesus.

11.      My life and my destiny, come out of any evil tree, in the name of Jesus.

12.      Any power that has made a covenant with the wicked elders to stop my progress, die, in the name of Jesus.

13.      Principalities and forces arranged against my destiny, you are a liar, scatter and die by thunder, in the name of Jesus.

14.      Powers, assigned to make me suffer because of the iniquity of my parents, die, in the name of Jesus.

15.      Every bondage of debt, barrenness, sadness, and failure acquired from parental mistakes, break, in the name of Jesus.

16.      As from today, I reject every inherited bad luck and failure, in the name of Jesus.

17.      Every power keeping me away from my divine helpers, you are a liar, die by thunder, in the name of Jesus.

18.      I disconnect my destiny from the idolatry altar of my father’s house in the name of Jesus

19.      Every power blocking my opportunities, scatter, in the name of Jesus.

20.      The season of failure, frustration and famine time is expired in my life today, die, in the name of Jesus.

21.      My life, hear the word of the Lord, refuse to follow the agenda of the enemy, in the name of Jesus.

22.      Father, arise and let all the enemies of my financial breakthrough be scattered, in the name of Jesus.

23.      By the power in the Blood of Jesus, I break every force that blocking the sunlight of my glory and breakthrough, in the name of Jesus.

24.      By the power in the Blood of Jesus, all evil spirits masquerading to trouble my success be bound and scattered by fire, in the name of Jesus.
